My name is Alan Rogers and I’ve had experience of working with the hair and beauty industry for over six years now.

It was 2011 that I created my first website for a local hairdresser - Park Row Hair & Beauty in Brighouse, West Yorkshire.

The salon owner then introduced me to a friend of hers who owns a hairdressing scissor company called Scissorhands.

I worked with and helped him on his websites, branding and general business development for over 4 1/2 years. (As a freelance and not full time). During this time I also attended nearly 20 trade shows - on his stand - including multiple times at Salon International, ProHair Live (Manchester & London) & Hair UK at Birmingham NEC.

From connections made through this relationship, at the begiining of 2014 I was asked to come on board with a start up business of a Knaresborough salon owner - David Audsley. He had invented an accessory to protect people and property from the dangers of super hot hair straighteners and was looking to take it to market.

It's called The DAIO and if the name seems familiar then that may be because you saw it on BBC's Dragons' Den.

I don't only work with hairdressers, but hopefully this gives an idea about the knowledge and experience of I have of your interesting and diverse creative industry.

You can find out more about me on my website - and more specifically about the website creation and updating* service I can provide at

* It's really important that any website is considered 'mobile friendly' now and if you already have one you can find out how Google rates it at -

My overall business background means I have a much broader scope of knowledge and experience than just websites, but an effective online presence really is the cornerstone for ANY independent business today. As well as great service and fantastic haircuts of course!  :)

If I may be able to help in any way then please do get in touch.
