Hi Mark
Thanks for calling in, interesting website you have built,
did you study web design at college /university or are you self taught ?
can you grab some screen shots and post them on here of some of the actual
working websites for hairdressers that you have designed, it would be great
to see them.
And web optimization, you have had success optimizing ?
what are your highest rankings and for what specific results ?
Is it just for your sister you have designed hairdressing website,
it would be great if you could get some satisfied customers to put some
testimonials up here regarding your services
And your prices, do you charge for an initial consultation, or a one
off or do you charge monthly ? and what about updating websites, do
you do this for your clients, or is it possible for them to add updates
for them selves once it is set up ?

and good luck

Hi,

I did go to uni, but I studied electronic engineering. All my web marketing experience is from about 5+ years of self taught learning, research and testing.

Post now updated with screenshots.

I specialize in SEO and have had a lot of success ranking websites in many different niches. My highest ranking is #1 in google, yahoo and bing.

I cannot provide details of specific results here due to confidentiality reasons and the possibility of leaving a footprint for google to find. I can however provide proof of results via PM.

The SEO service that would I offer for these websites is performance based only, meaning that I only charge a monthly fee for an actual page 1 ranking in google. If for any reason a website doesn't rank you don't pay. This is almost unheard of in the SEO industry and offers a risk-free opportunity for anybody here that is interested.

So far in the mobile hairdresser niche I have designed and ranked my sister's site and also designed a couple of additional sites that I intend to rank and offer for monthly rental. The Leeds mobile hairdresser site is one example of this.

I charge a one off fee starting at £150 for website creation and a small monthly fee of £27 to cover hosting and maintenance of the website.

This includes hosting of both the website and video as well as website updates to keep the script up to date and secure. It also covers updates to the content such as adding gallery pictures, approving testimonials, changing prices and adding special offers.

Websites can be customized to a client's specific colour requirements if necessary and their own content added, but the layout of the site needs to remain the same as it has been optimized for SEO and conversion.

It is possible for clients to update their site if they are tech savvy enough, however this will require some prior knowledge of Wordpress as it can be somewhat temperamental with html.

Charges for SEO start at £125 per month for a page 1 ranking of #7 or higher depending on difficulty. I always aim for the top spot, but I don't guarantee this.

I would be happy to schedule a Skype chat with anybody that prefers to talk to me in person in order to ask any questions. Just PM me for my username.

Thanks!

Thank you for the information Mark
very interesting
please feel free to update the post with any hairdressing related projects you are working on
as I am sure our members will find it interesting
is it only mobile hairdressers you cater for ?
you could produce websites for salons as well ?
salon software seems quite sophisticated these days
could you implement a booking system where by customers can book appointments
directly through a website, or a system where by clients could be sent automated reminders
about appointments ?

I currently only do mobile hairdressing sites, but could look at developing a site optimized specifically for salons if people are interested.

The automated booking system may also be worth looking into if it can improve conversions and profits for the salons.

The current system on the above sites with the video and opt-in box is proving to be extremely efficient at generating leads. In fact the Leeds site currently gets a small amount of traffic and is clearly not set up as a proper site yet, but it still gets people completing the opt-in box looking for hairdressing appointments!
