I enrolled on an nvq in barbering and have become unwell.  Having a nightmare of a time trying to get a partial refund.   Has anyone else been through something like this?   I have a solicitor but feel this is going to get really stressful.    .   The school has been getting aggressive

Hi Barber33

sorry to hear you are not well
can you not renegotiate with the school to complete the course when you are better ?
have you provided the school with medical evidence regarding your condition ?
like a lot of things the final say is often in the small print of your contact/agreement
between you and the school, I would check that first to see where you stand legally,
maybe ask a solicitor for a free interview, as they can be very expensive,
good luck

Yes they would be ok if I took a break from the course but they are not very sympathetic and aggressive about any kind of refund.  Am working with a solicitor but as I've not been provided with a terms and conditions it's hard.   Feel like there's animosity there now too after they said they class illness as just a personal problem

Well, I guess you have to decide whether you want to continue the course later
or want to quit and get your money back ?
did you not sign some sort of paperwork when you started the course ?
if that has not got there terms and conditions on, you could check there website
or just ask the college for a copy of the agreement you have with them,
hope you feel better soon
