Hello

I've got a few college course options starting in september, but as i'm very new with hairdressing i'm not sure which course would suit me best.

Either do a beginners course or go straight in doing a NVQ level.

what i wanted to do is work from home cutting hair, but do i need to complete the NVQ levels to do this?

Any advice would be appreciated

Thanks

salons wont employ u as a stylist if u havnt got at least level 2. whe i did my hairdressing i started from level 1.
some colleges let u go straight onto level 2.
even if u are working from home i would advise you to get a part time job in a salon, this is where you will pick up vital experience and more training. just because you have qualified from college doesnt mean that your gonna know everythin an theres alot more cutting techniques out there than the basic ones the college teach you

Hello

Sorry i didn't get back earlier with a reply

Yes i was told salon experiance is needed before starting any kind of business from the home.

At the moment i see its going to take me a number of years before i can be qualified.
