I have recently read somewhere that unless they contain soduim polystyrene sulphate (think i got that right) they are not really protecting. Looked on the ingredients of lots of ceramic protection sprays and not many have it.
Does yours????
Which ones good??
heard the NEW gHD one is ok and KMS flat iron spray is good
Any tips advice for someone that uses the ceramic irons ALLLLL the time.

Water absorbs and dissipates more heat than other materials, if water is removed, the temperature increases rapidly - therefore water content in the hair is very important.

Silicones have a low thermal conductivity and transmit heat to the hair more slowly.

Therefore it is important to have a balance of both to successfully protect the hair during straightening.

Be aware however that silicones can build up in the hair and it is important to treat the hair with a clarifying treatment from time to time and use a corresponding moisturising conditioner for your hair type.

More often than not it is the method of straightening that is more harmful!!  Leaving the irons on the hair for too long ... not detangling thoroughly beforehand .... improper sectioning or repeated straightening of the same section.

Many lotions contain Gum cyclics, mineral oils and Amodimethicones:

AVEDA BRILLIANT DAMAGE CONTROL
