this is the latest letter I have sent to the pier, the wembly picture 'FLUFF NATION '
well I was going to save that untill the next world cup, but if the pier picture is going to be reduced, like I say if the beaches where made of diamonds, a grain of sand would have immense value, so 2006 will be year HAIRDRESSING HISTORY is made, and yeah I am gonna have as much fun as possible, but the COMBined effects of both pictures, well that would be mind blowing, love the start of the new year, fills me with optermism and possiblitites, lets make it a large ONE

Dear Lynn Jones,
Thank you very much for your reply, I must admit to being dissappointed, but I am sure the whole town is saddened by the state of the pier, I am considering my options, this event does have a very strong world cup story line, so I cant wait until the pier has been fully restored, lets hope something worthwhile gets built at the end, I had asked my local salon to do a fantasy haircut on the pier, as a promotional picture, would this still be possible, okay so I have read that the pier has been re-opened, and 48 people are permitted on the pier, maybe a smaller scaled down picture would be possible, I do have quite a lot of ideas, and like everyone in Southend, I feel that it is the most important building we have, and I would very much like to see it prosper, I have written to the new Wembly staduim, asking if I can use this as a venue, but again there , we will have to see if it is completed in time for the world cup finals, and maybe you could give me some advice, could the beach at Southend were to be used as venue ? I would want it to be the largest group portrait of hairdressers, with no -one else in the picture, so I would want a clear area of the seafront for a short period, is this possible, who would I need to contact ? thank you for your time, oh and I have read in the local newspaper that there is a live web cam link to the pier, I cant find this, can you give me the address please.

Yours sincerely
Michael Sears
